JA Youth

Everything we try to accomplish with the Jefferson Avenue Youth Ministry is built around 5 specific goals.

  1. Spiritual Growth: It is our primary goal to teach and encourage the youth to continuously grow spiritually. Christ needs to be the primary focus at all times.
  2. Family Relationships: We need to stress the importance of Christ in the home by encouraging parents to participate in all areas of the ministry and by planning certain events focusing solely on the family.
  3. Fellowship: Young people need times to get together and enjoy the company of others in a safe and positive environment. This will help build a strong bond of friendship and accountability.
  4. Evangelism: The program will never grow if we fail to use our God-given ability to spread the Gospel and invite others to join us.
  5. Service: There are always those in the community and in the church family that need assistance in some way. Whether it is helping with an activity to maintain the church building and property, raking leaves, cleaning for a shut-in, or going on a mission trip, we have to be ready at all times to serve.

Kids avenue

Kids Avenue is our children’s ministry at Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ for ages newborn through 6th grade. We want our children to KNOW, LOVE, and SERVE Jesus Christ every day. Mark 12: 30-31 says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’" Our goal as parents is to raise our children to be faithful servants in His Kingdom. Kids Avenue provides a place for children to come and learn more about Jesus, engage with other children, and form friendships that will last a lifetime. Mothers Day out

Mother’s Day Out is now accepting Registration for the Fall 2016-2017 school year. For a registration form or more information, see or call Director Laura Fox at 260-7861.

Jefferson Avenue Mothers Day Out’s goal is to minister to families by giving parents free time during the week while providing Godly instruction, quality care, and academic readiness to the children we serve.

Our philosophy is found in Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

We want to provide quality childcare. Our desire is to help our preschoolers grow socially and emotionally in their awareness of God’s love. MDO is under the oversight of the elders of Jefferson Ave. church of Christ.

There is also a board of directors to help with the decision-making. We have been charged to provide a loving Christian environment where children can grow intellectually, physically, spiritually, and socially.
